Towcester is 10 miles south of Northampton along the A43 and 12 miles north-west of Milton Keynes along the A5. The town is close to both the M1, junction 15a, and the M40, junction 10, making it easily accessible from routes from the north, south, east and west.
The museum itself is located in White Horse Yard opposite the Richmond Road car park (free) and is accessible for pedestrians from Watling Street.
